Passport Stamp: Cabrillo National Monument

Just a few weeks ago while Spelunking I found myself at a national park in Chattanooga. Seeing someone else stamp and document their visit. Since I was in San Diego California for a conference I figured I would do my best to check off another park on my list. Close by on the map I saw Cabrillo National Monument only about 20 minutes a way from downtown.

Off with a close friend who so happened to live in Cali, we went to explore. I even got him to buy a passport to the national parks! It is definitely the cool thing to do guys.. so you should get it!!

Cabrillo National Monument is in honor of Rodriguez Cabrillo the first European to set foot on the West coast of the US in 1542. There is a lighthouse with a pretty cool exhibit, World War II bunkers to view only from the outside, and just a spectacular view of San Diego.

I would definitely visit this area again simply for the view, and recommend it to everyone here are a few pictures.
