Naked Truth: The Longest and Best Bath Someone Else Gave Me

In December 2013, I had my first experience with a Turkish Bath (Hamam). It was by far the best spa experience I have ever encountered. After a long day of tours with my friend (a volleyball player playing in Turkey at the time) I told him I wanted to go to the Turkish Bath. Shocked and a little uneasy he decided he would go but he would not have anyone bathing him… This was understandable. I am however, not a shy girl when it comes to being naked in front of others: I bathed in a river in Jamaica most of my young life and showered naked as an athlete among my teammates.So I was going for the full-blown experience and was so excited to do so. I decided to choose Çemberlitaş Hamami, a common hamam for tourist dues to its close proximity to major tram stops (Grand Bazaar & Sultanahmet) and the quality of the experience …

The End is Near: 2014 Bucket List Recap

How on earth is 2014 already coming to an END! It is December and I feel like (as usual) this year has flown by. Looking back though, I must say, I have loved every second of it! Adventures and traveling each year helps to keep me SANE! So let’s just take a quick look back before I start up on my new bucket list for 2015. My Little Sister’s Initiation into being an Adrenaline Junkie (World’s Tallest Slingshot)

  I have been an adrenaline junkie as far back as I can remember… having already gone skydiving, bungee jumping and hang gliding to name a few… I am still seeking my next rush!! My little sister has been asking me to come on an adventure for a while now, eager to one day skydive with me. I am however, not prepared to jump out of a plane with my sister just yet. So I brought her, as test, to the Worlds Tallest Slingshot in Orlando to see if she was really ready to roll with the “Big Dogs”!Looking at this slingshot, it really doesn’t seem too bad! However, being thrown into the air well… let’s just say that’s another story. I am pretty sure my eyes rolled into the back of my head, but overall it was an enjoyable experience for just 25 bucks!!!   After viewing the tape …

That Time When… I Walked on Water in Estonia

So, where the heck is Estonia? That is pretty much what I said when I decided to go on a Scandinavian tour… by this I was thinking of countries like Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. However, I ended up also exploring other countries as well… like Estonia. Just a ferry ride away from Helsinki, Finland I explored an unknown land to me. I started with my usual Free Walking Tours (which I recommend to anyone that wants to get a good feel for their new surrounding while traveling) and was impressed with the very adorable architecture of the area. After trying Elk Soup (which wasn’t bad by the way), Seeing Patarei Prison only closed in 2005 (truly a hell hole, and unbelievable that prisoners were held there), taking beautiful pictures from Kohtu Platform seeing all of Tallinn… I still needed something adventurous.. You Only Live Once!! Definitely something I believe in. If you want to do it, I say make it happen. Don’t sit around waiting until you have time, make more money, or find the right people. There is no better time than when you desire to make something happen. And this goes for all things in your life.. not just your crazy adventures. As for me, I like to create the right moment to make all my desires happen….
