Feeling So Fly like a G6… Skydiving Again with my High School Coach!!

As many of you know I am a thrill seeker… if it can be done… I want to do it… I have gone bungee jumping in Uganda, Hang gliding in Florida, and actually went skydiving for the first time 2011 with the bestie in Virginia. To remind you guys of this experience… check out this wonderful video… I am currently on my way for my second jump… and still nervous but excited. This time I will be doing it with my high school volleyball coach… WHAT? I know… I never knew my quiet, soft-spoken coach has been jumping out of planes since she was 19!!!!! COOLEST THING EVER!! I can’t wait not only see her again, but to jump out of a plane with her!! WOOT WOOT!    Can’t wait to tell you all about.

Floating on Water for 2 Hours: Isolation/Float Tank Experience

While in San Diego for a conference, I made the most of an afternoon to relax at Float Spa San Diego. Finding a great deal on GroupOn for a $35 for 1 hr float session I couldn’t give up the opportunity to check something else off my bucket list. With a close friend of mine, we headed for our 4 PM appointment. For those who do not know what this isolation/float/sensory deprivation tank things is all about… here is some quick information. In a tank, there is 860 pounds of epsom salt in the water. So you will not be fighting gravity to stay afloat. As soon as you lay down in the water you are already rising and floating on top. The water is kept at 94 degrees because it is skin receptor neutral. This enables you to lose track of your body. Benefits: Stress relief, reduce toxins, focused …

It’s Never Too Late to be What You Might Have Been:  Grad School New Year’s Resolutions

While many have their New Years Resolution to get fit, eat healthy, save money… our list is rather important to staying on task and getting to the end goal. Some of these can be a hit and go kind of thing.So let us begin. 1) Apply for FAFSA! While you may only be approved for student loans, it is important to apply for FAFSA every year. 1) it’s free, 2) Some scholarships/grants like to see the FAFSA report especially if they are need based 3) you never know what may happen and at least you have a back up.
